About Tacoma Crested Geckos
Our Story
We are a family-owned and operated breeder that has been in the reptile community since the 1990s. Our passion for New Caledonia geckos started when we got our first Crested Geckos in 2005 and fell in love with their unique beauty, friendly nature, and ease of care. We use our knowledge of gecko color and pattern genetics to improve our lines and increase the availability of unique colors and patterns to the public. We sell beautiful and healthy geckos to high-end collectors and newer reptile enthusiasts to enjoy.
Our Breeding Process
We take great pride in our breeding process, which starts with having a color or pattern goal in mind and carefully selecting our breeding pairs.
Geckos are selected based on age, weight, health, color and body shape conformation. After a hatchling leaves the egg, it's given it's own home, fed twice a week with commercial gecko diet and crickets, and handled so it becomes used to human touch.
Geckos in our Collection
Our collection includes four species of New Caledonia geckos.
Currently, we selectively breed Crested Geckos and Gargoyle Geckos, and have high-end and pet quality colored babies and hold-back adults available throughout the year. In 2021, we brought in the Lilly White Crested Gecko morph and have bred them into many amazing color variations.
In early 2023, we added two pairs of Chahoua geckos (Chewies) which began laying eggs late in the '23 breeding season. As well, we have several Leachianus (Leachie) geckos, some of which will be paired winter 2023/24.
